Our Mission

The mission of the Green City Development Group is to improve the overall health of the natural environment by using green principles that comprehensively target the health and revitalization of inner-city communities.

Our organization encourages a sustained quality of life by supporting residents and other stakeholders in their efforts to become more conscious of their own health and the health of their environment.

Through increased awareness and development of green projects, we aim to foster overall economic prosperity while constructing cleaner, greener sustainable communities.

The Green City Development Group (GCDG) is committed to working with local community partners to reduce barriers to entry for startup businesses. We have dedicated several years and countless man hours helping local residents find employment with startup businesses.

Project Participants

Green City Development Group will seek clients who are interested in sustainable developments and show a strong commitment to working with residents to increase energy-efficiency.

Atlanta Belt Line Inc. has researched the total effect its 25-year program is projected to have on the local economy. The project “is expected to generate 30,000 new full time jobs and 48,000 one-year construction jobs.” By developing the sustainability business incubator, GCDG is not trying to force its sustainable environments and economic goals upon an uninterested group of project sponsors. Atlanta Beltline Inc. explicitly shares the Green City mission: “The majority of these jobs will be created by new businesses located in Atlanta and impact the surrounding cities like East Point, College Park and others, also the sustainability concepts that will be employed will influence cities all around the metro area.
